INOVAWINE

INOVAWINE

Inovawine barrels, designed for the wine industry, are made of stainless steel and fully assembled using robotic laser fusion without filler metal. They are intended for the fermentation, aging, storage, and transport of wines and spirits.

Thanks to their continuous surface design, with no gaps or retention areas, and their chemical inertness, they preserve the organoleptic qualities of products and meet the requirements of professionals in the wine, cider, and distillery sectors.

Capacities

Closure

  • Tri-clamp type closures in 304/304L stainless steel, 2" diameter (25.4 mm), with a food-grade EPDM sealing gasket.

Uses

Suitable for the fermentation, aging, storage, and transport of wines, ciders, and spirits, with the option of use in topping to limit oxidation and preserve product quality.

EXPERTISES

THE BENEFITS OF THE RANGE

Discover the main features of this product range.

Tightness

Inovawine barrels, fully assembled using robotic laser fusion technology, provide excellent tightness thanks to their crevice-free design between covers and body of the barrel.

This structure ensures optimal product protection by preserving contents from gases, humidity, light, and external contamination, helping maintain the quality of stored liquids.

Compatibility

Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel (304/304L or 316/316L), without varnish or internal coating, these barrels ensure perfect organoleptic neutrality and preserve product integrity.

Widely used as a reference material for food processing and storage equipment, stainless steel guarantees long-term stability and optimal preservation of the organoleptic properties of wines, ciders, and spirits.

Cleanliness

Thanks to robotic laser fusion technology, which eliminates all retention areas, and to strictly controlled manufacturing and washing processes, Inovawine barrels offer a high level of cleanliness.

This design facilitates cleaning and minimizes the risk of cross-contamination between different productions.

Regulatory

This range is accredited by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), confirming its compliance for food contact and applications requiring a high level of cleanliness.

The use of solid stainless steel, without organic barriers or internal coatings, aligns with international standards for food-grade equipment requiring high levels of hygiene and safety (e.g., compliance with European Regulation EC 1935/2004).

Safety

Designed with 1.5 mm thick stainless steel, the barrels offer excellent resistance to impacts, punctures, and compression encountered during handling and transport operations.

Sustainability

Stainless steel barrels assembled by robotic laser fusion without filler metal provide a sustainable alternative to traditional containers such as HDPE drums, lacquered steel drums, or crimped models.

Reusable and designed for a long service life, they support a responsible approach and help reduce packaging waste.

YOUR PACKAGING QUESTIONS

Are stainless steel drums recyclable?

Stainless steel is 100% recyclable. However, classification as a “contaminant-free” solution depends on the condition of the drum, the products it has contained, and how it has been maintained over time.

What are the advantages of laser welding technology?

The fully welded design eliminates crimped assemblies, reducing retention areas and making cleaning easier, while improving robustness and versatility of use. Laser welding does not require filler material, which reduces the risk of corrosion and internal porosity. As the heat-affected zone is very limited, internal stresses are reduced and the drum’s mechanical strength is enhanced, particularly in the event of impacts or drops.

Can stainless steel drums be cleaned and reused?

When used with products compatible with stainless steel and properly maintained, drums can have a very long service life. Replacement is generally linked to the use of unsuitable cleaning agents, especially chlorine-based products, or to mechanical damage during handling. In demanding applications, such as maple syrup, well-maintained drums can exceed 20 years of service life. Fully welded drums offer greater durability than crimped drums, whose design typically limits their lifespan to just a few years.
